Moogle Cupcakes!

Went to the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert in Washington DC this past friday. It was an outdoor venue with picnic/eating allowed on the lawn so of course I had to make something!
The picture isn't great but it's a moogle cupcake.
 
Not really complicated enough to warrant a recipe but the ingredients are:
cupcake+frosting
starburst (cut in half, pink)
jumbo gum drop (red)
marshmallow (pink)
Black icing for eyes.
Chocolate sprinkles for whiskers.
One source of serious improvement in my opinion would be if I took the time to die the marshmallows red. But given some of the epic experiences with red food coloring lately I didn't want to go down that path.
The other thing I hadn't considered was how hot it would be traveling via train to the concert so the frosting was a little tattered and some noses slid off (easy to repair) by the time we got there. So perhaps a white fondant layer, or a poured fondant top would be better. I might consider those options if there is cause for a repeat performance, but it's hard to beat the easy factor of store bought frosting out of the can when doing quick cake decorations.
The only question left to ponder is 'cupcake geekery more or less geeky than going in costume?'
